Yes, we work across the Dordogne and the Lot, and we do it in English. From our studio in Brive, Terrasson is 25 min away, Souillac 34 min, Montignac 42 min, Sarlat 58 min, Gourdon 1 h, Cahors 1 h 13 and Figeac 1 h 27. The kitchens are made in Germany and delivered fully assembled, in four options — supply only, assisted fitting, designed and fitted, or with the building work included — and your price is worked out on the plan, after the first appointment. The driving time, not the mileage, sets the travel charge, and it is printed on the quotation before you order.

The Lot has the highest proportion of second homes of the three departments we serve — close to one home in five, against roughly one in seven in the Dordogne and the Corrèze (INSEE). Which is why so much of our work here is planned in summer and fitted in winter.
Driving time, not mileage.
An hour of winding departmental road costs more than an hour of motorway, so the travel charge follows the time on the road rather than the distance. Wherever you are, the units cost the same as they do in Brive, and the travel charge is worked out from the driving time and printed on the quotation before you order.

Near enough for the survey, the delivery and the fitting to be an ordinary working day, with the van back in Brive by the evening. In the Dordogne this covers Terrasson and the villages around it.

The Dordogne recorded 7,198 British residents at the 2016 census — the second largest British population of any French department — and around 53 % of them are retired. Of the 35,863 second homes in the department, roughly 10 % belong to British owners, 3 % to Dutch owners and 3 % to Belgian owners. British visitors account for 27 % of foreign overnight stays in the Dordogne, Dutch visitors for 21 %.
So an English-speaking kitchen designer is not a courtesy here, it is the job. We write the specification, the quotation and the programme in English, we explain the French contract before you sign it, and we deal with the tradespeople for you.
Surveyed in summer, fitted in winter
Around 41 % of the Dordogne’s tourist nights fall in the summer, which is also when most owners are physically in the house. That is the window for a survey. The fitting then happens between October and March, when the house is empty and the trades are available. We send photographs at each stage and hand over on your next visit.

Brive–Vallée de la Dordogne airport serves London Stansted and Paris Orly; Bergerac airport handled 240,110 passengers in 2025; Limoges is an hour up the A20. Do you come out to Sarlat and the Périgord noir?
Yes. Sarlat is 58 min from our studio in Brive, Montignac 42 min, Les Eyzies 1 h 08, Terrasson 25 min. Everything up to an hour is a normal working day for us: we survey, we deliver and we fit, with the travel charge shown on the quotation before you order.
I only come over a few times a year. Can you work around that?
That is a large part of what we do. We survey while you are here — summer is when most second-home owners are in the house — and we fit while it is empty, usually between October and March. You sign electronically from wherever you are, we send photographs at each stage, and we hand over on your next visit.
Do you charge more because I live in the Dordogne rather than in Brive?
No. The units, the worktop and the design are costed exactly as they are in Brive, whichever option you choose — Prêt-à-poser, Assistance de pose, Sur-mesure posé or Clé en main. What varies is the travel charge, which follows the driving time and is printed on the quotation before you order, and whether we can run a full building project at that distance.
Can you manage the building work as well?
Within about an hour of Brive, yes: that is the Clé en main option, with named and insured tradespeople, one contract and a dated programme. Beyond that we look at it case by case, because coordinating five trades at ninety minutes’ distance is a promise we would rather not make than break.
